Torys Earns Strong Rankings in InfraDeals League Tables

January 27, 2016

With 21 deals valued at US$17.6 billion, Torys is pleased to report that the firm has been ranked among the top 20 global legal advisers by value in InfraDeals’ 2015 Trends Report.

Other notable rankings (by market) include:

North America

Torys ranked 2nd among Canadian firms for legal advisory in the Canadian renewables space, by both value and deal count. We also advised on three of InfraDeals' top 10 deals in Canada: the Regina Bypass PPP Project; the South Kent Wind Farm refinancing; and the sale of Montreal Gateway Terminals

The firm was also ranked in the U.S. PPP space for the first time by both value and deal count, on the financial close of the Kentucky Broadband PPP Project—the only Canadian firm to be ranked in this table in 2015.

Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA)

The firm advised on two of InfraDeals’ top 10 deals in EMEA, including Fortum Sweden, the top-ranked deal by value in which the firm represented Borealis Infrastructure in the acquisition of Fortum Distribution AB in Sweden (Torys was also ranked as one of the top three firms by value to advise in the Nordics region).
