Torys Announces New Partners and Counsel

We are delighted to announce that David Mattingly and David Outerbridge have been admitted to partnership, and Andrew Finkelstein, Richard Johnson and Lynne Lacoursiere have been promoted to Counsel.

 

David Mattingly

David Mattingly
David's practice focuses on the tax aspects of cross-border transactions and business operations. His clients include publicly and privately held corporations, financial institutions, insurance companies, foreign government pension funds and sovereign wealth funds.

David Outerbridge

David Outerbridge
David is a Partner in Torys' Litigation Department. He acts as trial and appellate counsel for clients in a broad range of litigation matters, with an emphasis on energy and infrastructure litigation, construction and procurement disputes, product liability claims, insurance law and commercial litigation. A substantial part of David's practice involves class actions, for clients in a wide range of industries including pharmaceutical companies, financial institutions, public authorities and schools.

 

Andrew Finkelstein
Andrew's practice focuses on litigation and dispute resolution, with an emphasis on corporate and commercial, employment, environmental litigation and administrative law. Andrew has appeared as counsel before all levels of court in Ontario, before a variety of administrative tribunals and in commercial and salary arbitrations.

Richard Johnson

Richard Johnson
Richard's practice focuses on all areas of tax law, including advising on tax aspects of M&A transactions, corporate reorganizations and corporate finance. His experience includes structured financial products, lending and securitization, investment funds, and income funds, income funds and alternative energy (including wind, solar and hydro) tax planning and structuring.
