Torys is advising on 4 of Canada's top 20 infrastructure projects in 2010

Torys is advising or advised on 4 of Canada's top 20 infrastructure projects in 2010. In its list of Canada's top 100 projects for 2010, ReNew Canada features, among the top 20 projects, the following:

  • the C$2.46 billion Port Mann/Highway 1 toll road and bridge PPP project in British Columbia (Torys represented a pension fund as part of a consortium bidding on the project)
  • the Windsor-Essex Parkway project (Torys is representing Windsor Essex Mobility Group as a bidder on this 11-km, six-lane freeway in Windsor, Ontario)
  • the Niagara Tunnel project (Torys is representing Ontario Power Generation in its C$985 million DB agreement with Strabag AG to construct this 10-km water diversion tunnel at Niagara Falls, one of the largest tunnel projects in the world; and in OPG’s EPCM contract with Strabag AG to design and construct tunnels to supply additional water to Sir Adam Beck Generating Station)
  • the Point Lepreau Nuclear Generating Station refurbishment (Torys is representing New Brunswick Power in the project, including advising on EPC contracts with Atomic Energy of Canada)
