The Toronto Arts Council Foundation (TACF) has announced the shortlist for the coveted 2007 Toronto Arts Council Foundation Awards.
The awards will be presented at the second annual Mayor’s Arts Awards Lunch on October 17, 2007.
TACF Awards celebrate artists, cultural professionals and arts supporters from every creative discipline. The awards highlight, in in five categories, the significant contributions made by Toronto's cultural leadership.
Torys is delighted to be shortlisted for The Globe and Mail Toronto Business for the Arts Award, which recognizes excellent examples of partnership between business and the arts in Toronto. The award will be presented through a partnership with Business for the Arts and Toronto Arts Council Foundation. The recipient will receive an original work of art by Nobuo Kubota.
Torys has contributed significantly to the arts over the past year by regularly providing pro bono advice to artists through the Visual Artists’ Legal Clinic of Ontario (VALCO), our joint initiative with CARFAC Ontario.
