Torys is an adviser on four of Canada's top ten infrastructure projects in 2006

Torys is pleased to announce that we advised and/or are advising on four of the year's top ten infrastructure projects in Canada in 2006. In its list of Top 10: Canada's Biggest Infrastructure Projects, ReNew Canada features, among the top ten projects, the following:

  • the C$4.25 billion refurbishment of Bruce Power's Bruce A Units 1 and 2 nuclear generating stations (Torys is representing Ontario Power Authority)
  • the C$1.1 billion financing of the Golden Ears Bridge (Torys represented XL Capital Assurance (U.K.), the monoline insurer)
  • the C$985 million Niagara Tunnel Project (Torys is representing Ontario Power Generation)
  • the development of the C$730 million Portlands Energy Centre (Torys represented Ontario Power Generation, a joint venture partner with TransCanada Energy)

 

ReNew Canada ranked the projects by size, by the innovative technologies used and by the number of people they will serve.
