Put yourself out there and learn about your client as an individual, says Linda Plumpton in Law Times

As women begin to outnumber men entering the legal profession, and as the number of women clients increases, women-to-women business development initiatives are becoming more popular. As men are taking their clients to hockey games, women are organizing spa days, female-only barbecues and fashion shows as their relationship-building opportunities.
