Torys recognized with two honours at the 2026 LMG Life Sciences Americas Awards

Torys is pleased to share that the firm has received two awards at the 2026 LMG Life Sciences Americas Awards: Regulatory Attorney of the Year (Canada) and Impact Deal of the Year.

Partner Eileen McMahon, co-founder and chair of the firm’s Intellectual Property and Food and Drug Regulatory practices, was recognized as Regulatory Attorney of the Year (Canada). A two-time recipient of the award, Eileen is widely regarded as a leading adviser to life sciences companies navigating complex regulatory and commercial challenges. She is recognized as one of Canada’s foremost life sciences lawyers, known for her deep market insight and practical approach.

The firm also received the Impact Deal of the Year award for its role in Endo’s sale of its international pharmaceuticals business, primarily operated through Paladin Pharma Inc., to Knight Therapeutics Inc. for up to US$105 million. The transaction marked a significant strategic acquisition, expanding Knight’s Canadian pharmaceutical business and portfolio. Torys advised Endo and Paladin on the transaction, with partner Konata Lake leading the team.
