Torys welcomes two new litigation partners

Torys is pleased to announce that Michael Feder, K.C. and Deborah Templer are joining the firm’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice as partners, alongside the planned opening of a new Torys office in Vancouver.

Michael Feder is a nationally recognized litigator with extensive experience acting in complex commercial and public law disputes, including product liability, mass tort, and class action matters. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and the International Academy of Trial Lawyers, and a member of the International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC).

Deborah Templer is a leading lawyer in complex commercial and class action disputes, with one of Canada’s preeminent product liability and mass tort litigation practices. She is a director of The Advocates’ Society, Chair of Pro Bono Ontario’s board of directors, Co-Chair of the American Bar Association’s Class and Derivative Actions Subcommittee, and a member of the IADC.

The addition of Michael and Deborah, together with the firm’s expansion into Vancouver, strengthens Torys’ national litigation platform at a time of increasing dispute complexity and growth in class actions across Canada. These developments reflect the firm’s commitment to meeting clients’ evolving litigation needs.

“Michael and Deborah are outstanding litigators with an exceptional track record in high-stakes disputes,” says Matt Cockburn, Torys’ Managing Partner. “Their arrival underscores our continued investment in our best‑in‑class national litigation practice for our clients.”

With a presence from coast to coast, Torys continues to be well positioned to support clients wherever litigation risk arises, delivering seamless service across jurisdictions.

Welcome Michael and Deborah!
