Torys is proud to announce its partnership with the University of Toronto’s Schwartz Reisman Innovation Campus.
As a leading innovation hub for AI and health sciences at one of the world’s most renowned research institutions, the Campus brings together founders, researchers, students and industry leaders into one integrated ecosystem.
Through its role as the preferred legal partner for the Campus’ Startup2Scaleup programming stream, Torys will support the innovation community with actionable insights across key areas of growth, helping innovators move from research to market, protect their inventions and seize opportunities.
Co-leader of Torys’ Intellectual Property and Food and Drug Regulatory practices Teresa Reguly praised the partnership.
“The Schwartz Reisman Innovation Campus is home to an incredible collection of research-driven ventures and leaders at the forefront of the innovation ecosystem,” Teresa said.
“This partnership builds on our continued support for Canadian AI and health sciences founders, and we look forward to co-creating curated, high-impact programming for the incubators, accelerators and other innovators who call the Campus home.”
Raquel De Souza, Ecosystem Director at the Schwartz Reisman Innovation Campus, shared how the partnership will help fulfil the Ecosystem team’s mission: “We’re focused on helping bold ideas make the leap from lab to market. That takes more than great research and innovative thinking; it takes the right partners. Torys brings deep expertise and a real understanding of what founders need as they build and scale. We’re excited to collaborate on programming that gives our community practical, personalized, and high-impact support at every stage, from startup to scaleup and beyond.”
