Three Torys partners recognized as IFLR1000’s Women Leaders for 2021
Torys is delighted to announce that three partners—Karrin Powys-Lybbe, Rima Ramchandani and Amanda Balasubramanian—have been listed on the IFLR1000’s Women Leaders list for 2021. This is the second consecutive year that Karrin Powys-Lybbe—who is co-chair of our M&A practice—has received this prestigious recognition. Karrin’s practice focuses on M&A, securities law, corporate finance and corporate governance. She is the former managing partner of Torys' New York office and a former member of Torys’ Executive Committee. Over the years, Karrin has been consistently recognized as a leading lawyer by numerous legal directories and has advised clients on some of their most significant transactions.
Rima Ramchandani is co-head of Torys’ Capital Markets practice and a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. She has built a strong reputation for practical, client-focused counsel which is informed by her extensive corporate and capital markets experience. Rima advises clients on a wide variety of strategic mandates, including financings, M&A and corporate governance. She has been repeatedly recognized for her work in the capital markets across many legal directories.
Amanda Balasubramanian is co-head of Torys’ Banking and Debt Finance practice, focusing on commercial banking and debt financings. She is a trusted advisor to lenders, sponsors and borrowers in complex domestic, international and global transactions. Additionally, Amanda is the head of the Torys’ Fund Finance practice and works closely with fund clients and lenders on many fund finance products. Amanda’s track record and strong client focus have resulted in her being recognized year over year across multiple legal directories.
