Fiskars Corporation acquires the renowned WWRD and extends its portfolio with iconic luxury home and lifestyle brands
On July 2, 2015, Fiskars Corporation (Fiskars) announced that it completed the acquisition of the WWRD group of companies (WWRD) from KPS Capital Partners, previously announced on May 11, 2015. With the closing of the acquisition, Fiskars extends its portfolio with iconic luxury home and lifestyle brands including Waterford, Wedgwood, Royal Doulton, Royal Albert and Rogaška.
The transaction was approved by the U.S. antitrust authorities under the U.S. Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act (HSR Act).
WWRD manufactures, distributes and sells globally renowned brands with centuries of heritage, including Wedgwood (established in 1759), Waterford (1783), Royal Doulton (1815), Royal Albert (1904), and Rogaška (1665).
Fiskars is a leading global supplier of consumer products for the home, garden and outdoors.
KPS is the manager of the KPS Special Situations Funds, a family of investment funds with more than US$5.7 billion of assets under management.
