Goshen Wind Energy Centre
Torys acted as counsel to NextEra Energy Canada in the development and construction of its 102 MW Goshen Wind Energy Centre in southwestern Ontario, including the renewable energy approval (REA) application, the related permitting and approval processes, as well as land and municipal road approvals.
Located in Huron County, Ontario, the wind farm consists of one 1.5 MW GE ESS turbine and 62 1.6 MW GE ESS turbines, which combined are capable of generating enough electricity to power more than 25,500 homes.
