Carly practices in the Mergers and Acquisitions, Capital Markets and Metals and Mining Groups at Torys. Her practice is primarily focused on corporate and securities law, with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, stream and royalty finance, and corporate governance matters. Carly has extensive experience advising foreign and domestic clients in public and private merger and acquisition transactions and issuers and underwriters in debt and equity offerings. Carly’s industry experience includes metals and mining, real estate, technology, financial services and retail.

Before joining Torys, Carly worked as Associate General Counsel at a private equity firm in Toronto that specializes in the metals and mining sector and practised at a large national law firm in Toronto and Montréal.
Carly acts as Secretary on the Executive Committee of the Natural Resources and Energy Law Section of the Ontario Bar Association and as a Mentor for Business Transactions, a second year course for law students at the Lincoln Alexander School of Law at Toronto Metropolitan University. Carly is also a member of the Ontario Bar Association, Canadian Bar Association, New York Bar Association and American Bar Association.
