
Rosalie’s practice focuses on privacy, cybersecurity, and data governance. She regularly advises clients on privacy law compliance as well as data and AI governance in the context of their day-to-day operations, new initiatives, and commercial transactions. Rosalie also specializes in data breach preparedness and response, with specific expertise in highly regulated sectors, such as financial services and energy. Rosalie has responded to all types of cyber incidents, including cyber extortion in the context of information theft, DDoS attacks, phishing and vishing attacks, and large-scale, cross-jurisdictional ransomware attacks. In this context, Rosalie has advised on a wide variety of legal, regulatory, and industry requirements, including the application of the energy-related NERC standards, PCI-DSS rules, securities disclosure obligations, the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act, and the Canadian Controlled Goods Program. In addition, Rosalie represents clients in Quebec and cross-border privacy class action litigation files.
