With strong research and manufacturing capabilities and best in class talent, the Canadian medtech industry is an important piece of the global market. However, with developing technologies, changes to regulations, and geopolitical uncertainty, the industry is facing multi-layered challenges.

In this session, Eileen McMahon and Teresa Reguly are joined by Nicole DeKort, President and CEO of Medtech Canada and Ivy Parks, President of BD Canada, to discuss the evolving state of the medical technologies industry and how to navigate what may lie ahead. Our panelist will discuss a variety of topics, including challenges posed by tariffs, “buy Canadian” and procurement trends, managing shortages and supply chain issues, reimbursement considerations and regulatory updates.
