Join Torys' intellectual property lawyers for an informal discussion on all aspects of patent law. We’ll be analyzing the old, the new—and most definitely the absurd—in candid conversation, all while taking questions from the audience and welcoming special guests along the way.
Niki and Andy are back from their summer break to bring you the 10th episode of Patently Absurd. The September session will look at doctrine of patent exhaustion—both its history and some thoughts on its future in Canada. It will also discuss the recent Federal Court of Appeal decision in Benjamin Moore and revisit the topic of patentable subject matter in light of that decision. Lastly, intellectual property and regulatory law expert, and Niki and Andy’s colleague, Teresa Reguly, will join to talk about the new patent term adjustment regime coming into effect for 2025.
This session will be presented in English.
