Lower Mattagami Energy Limited Partnership completes C$200 million private placement
Torys acted as counsel to the syndicate of agents led by CIBC World Markets and BMO Nesbitt Burns with a team that included Rose Bailey, Michael Zackheim and Matthew Murphy.
On September 20, 2013, Lower Mattagami Energy Limited Partnership (the Partnership) issued, by way of private placement, C$200 million aggregate principal amount of 4.944% Series 2013-2 senior secured bonds, due September 21, 2043. The bonds were offered for sale on a best efforts basis by a syndicate of agents co-led by BMO Nesbitt Burns Inc. and CIBC World Markets Inc., and including National Bank Financial Inc., RBC Dominion Securities Inc., Scotia Capital Inc., TD Securities Inc., HSBC Securities (Canada) Inc. and Laurentian Bank Securities Inc.
The Partnership is a limited partnership between Ontario Power Generation Inc. (OPG), as the sole general partner, and LM Energy Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of OPG, as sole limited partner.
