With extensive experience in fund formations, investments and liquidity transactions, Lauren provides strategic counsel to fund managers and institutional investors in their private fundraisings and investment activities worldwide.
Lauren’s practice focuses on representing alternative asset managers in the formation, fundraising and ongoing management of their private funds. Lauren also has in-depth experience in fund restructurings.
In addition, Lauren represents public pension plans as well as financial institutions and funds-of-funds, in connection with their private market investments in pooled funds, funds-of-one and separately managed accounts. Lauren’s practice further includes negotiating investment management agreements for institutional investors.
Lauren also acts for both fund sponsors and institutional investors in respect of their co-investment mandates, as well as liquidity transactions in the secondaries space.

At Torys, Lauren is actively involved in the firm’s student and associate mentorship, training and recruitment programs.
In the community, Lauren has been heavily involved and has held several leadership roles with YWCA Toronto. She has served as a member and secretary of the Board of Directors, as well as a member of numerous committees including the Executive Committee, the Finance Committee, the Asset Management Committee and most recently, the Nominating Committee. Lauren has also served as a member of the Governance Committee of Western Mustangs Athletic Alumni Board of Directors at Western University and as a member of the Finance Committee of YWCA Canada.
