Darryl Hiscocks Says Alternative Resolution Methods Could be Applied to Employment Law
Counsel Darryl Hiscocks provided an employment perspective in a Law Times article on alternative resolution methods and their impending role in disputes arising from cannabis legalization.
“The sky’s the limit really in terms of potential disputes that could emerge around the use of cannabis in the workplace,” he explained.
According to Darryl, because alternative resolution methods could keep disputes confidential, they would be beneficial for both employers and employees since there is still stigma associated with cannabis.
“Employers might be concerned that this could become laundry to be aired in public,” he continued, emphasizing the significance alternative resolution methods could have in limiting public disclosure related to cannabis disputes.
