We provide innovative and commercially sound solutions and bring a real-world industry sensibility to our legal work. For example, one of our partners has been a senior banker responsible for project finance structuring for one of the world’s largest financial institutions. Another was the director of project development for Latin America for a major Canadian energy and infrastructure company. Another one of the partners was the CEO for several years of the Ontario Privatization Secretariat, which considered major infrastructure privatization proposals.
Our group has represented domestic and international lenders, monoline insurers, developers, project sponsors and other equity investors, major industrial and commercial users and governments and government agencies on a broad range of infrastructure and energy projects and transactions in the United States, Canada, India, Mexico, Central America, South America and Asia.
We work with the full array of power generation technologies from nuclear, coal, natural gas and hydro to wind and other renewables, as well as with transmission and distribution of both electricity and natural gas. We have also acted on transactions involving all types of infrastructure asset classes, including ports, toll roads, bridges, schools, hospitals and airports, as well as non-traditional infrastructure assets such as long-term care facilities, medical laboratories and diagnostics.
