Professional Involvement

During law school, Selam was a teaching assistant in legal research and a criminal law caseworker at the University of Ottawa Community Legal Clinic. She also interned for a business law firm in Bridgetown, Barbados.

As a student at Torys, Selam was seconded to National Bank of Canada and OMERS.

Prior to law school, Selam worked as a project officer/translation coordinator for the Ministry of the Attorney General and as a translator for Desjardins Financial Security and Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce.

Community

Selam volunteers for the Law in Action Within Schools (LAWS) program, a high school program that uses legal education as a tool to assist students to succeed in school and become engaged and active citizens.
