Lanfine North Wind Project
The project will consist of 35 Vestas V150-4.3 MW turbines and is anticipated to generate enough electricity to support the annual needs of more than 25,000 households in Alberta.
The North project is one of two wind projects acquired from BowArk Energy Ltd. in the vicinity of Oyen, Alberta and is anticipated to be the first phase in a planned wind farm that will have a total combined capacity of up to 290 MW.
The combined project will spread over approximately 45,000 acres of private land south and west of the town of Oyen near the Saskatchewan boundary, north of Medicine Hat.
Construction on the North project began in November 2021 and is targeted for commercial operation by the end of 2022.
Further information on the project can be found on Pattern Energy’s website.
