Fiera Infrastructure sale of interest in the Cedar Point II Wind
On June 18, 2024, Axium Infrastructure announced that one of its managed funds, together with Nova Scotia Pension Services Corporation, acquired a 50% equity interest in the 100 MW Cedar Point II Wind Energy Centre (“Cedar Point”) located in Ontario from Fiera Infrastructure Inc. (“Fiera Infrastructure”).
Located approximately 40 km northeast of Sarnia, Ontario, Cedar Point commenced operations in October 2015. Operated by a subsidiary of NextEra Energy Canada, the project consists of 46 2.2 MW Siemens direct drive turbines, generating enough power for approximately 30,000 homes in an average year. 100% of the power produced by the project is sold to the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) under a 20-year Feed-in-Tariff (FiT) power purchase agreement.
