Miami-Dade County Civil and Probate Courthouse
Torys acted as counsel to EllisDon Corporation as a subcontractor to M-S-E Judicial Partners, a shortlisted proponent for the Miami-Dade County Civil and Probate Courthouse PPP project to design, build, finance, operate and maintain a new civil and probate courthouse in Florida.
The new courthouse will replace the existing 90-year-old facility and provide judicial services to citizens of Miami-Dade county and the general public in a safe, secure and functional environment equipped with modern technology.
The project is deemed necessary because the current courthouse is "functionally obsolete" and does not meet security needs.
Torys acted as counsel with a team that included Tara Mackay, Huw Evans and Josh Van Deurzen.
