Bruce Power completes C$750 million issue of senior unsecured notes
Torys acted as counsel to the syndicate of agents led by Scotia Capital and TD Securities with a team that included Rose Bailey and Yinka Olusoga (lending), Michael Zackheim and Justin Crawford (securities).
On February 14, 2017, Bruce Power L.P. completed its issuance of C$350 million aggregate principal amount of Series 2017-1 3.00% senior unsecured notes, due June 21, 2024 and C$400 million aggregate principal amount of Series 2017-2 4.01% senior unsecured notes, due June 21, 2029, for total aggregate proceeds of C$750 million.
The notes were issued through a syndicate of agents co-led by Scotia Capital Inc. and TD Securities Inc., and which included BMO Nesbitt Burns Inc., CIBC World Markets Inc., HSBC Securities (Canada) Inc., National Bank Financial Inc., RBC Dominion Securities Inc. and BNP Paribas (Canada) Securities Inc.
Bruce Power is Canada's first private nuclear generator, providing 30% of Ontario's power.
