Public Health Laboratory at MaRS Centre
Torys acted as counsel to Walsh Construction Canada as a shortlisted proponent for the Public Health Laboratory PPP project to build and finance Public Health Ontario's new laboratory at MaRS Centre Phase 2 in Toronto, Ontario.
Constructed within the top four floors of the MaRS Centre tower in heart of Toronto's Discovery District, the new laboratory replaced an existing facility in the west end of Toronto.
The largest in a network of 11 provincial public health laboratories, Public Health Ontario's Toronto public health laboratory was projected to conduct 2.8 million tests per year.
