Vermilion Energy sale of its United States assets
On June 5, 2025, Vermilion Energy Inc. ("Vermilion") announced that it entered into a definitive agreement for the sale of its United States assets for cash proceeds of C$120 million.
Located on 85,000 net acres of land in the Powder River Basin of Campbell County in northeast Wyoming, the assets consist of approximately 5,500 boe/d (81% oil and liquids) of production. As evaluated by McDaniel & Associates Consultants Ltd., at December 31, 2024, the assets have Proved Developed Producing reserves of 10 mmboe.
The transaction has an effective date of January 1, 2025 and is anticipated to close in Q3 2025, subject to the satisfaction of other customary closing conditions.
Net proceeds will be directed towards debt repayment to accelerate deleveraging efforts and strengthen Vermilion's balance sheet.
