Vermilion Energy sale of its Saskatchewan and Manitoba assets
Torys acted as counsel to Vermilion Energy in its C$415 million sale of its Saskatchewan and Manitoba assets.
On July 10, 2025, Vermilion Energy Inc. ("Vermilion") announced that it closed its previously announced sale of its Saskatchewan and Manitoba assets for cash proceeds of C$415 million.
The assets are comprised of approximately 10,500 boe/d (86% oil and liquids) of non-core light oil production in Saskatchewan and Manitoba. Net proceeds will be directed towards debt repayment to accelerate deleveraging efforts and strengthen Vermilion's balance sheet.
