Pembina offtake from Wild Rose 2 Wind Farm
The project, which is slated to begin construction later in 2022, will consist of 38 SG 5.2-145 turbines and generate enough electricity to support the needs of 90,000 households. Total construction capital for the project is estimated at C$360 million.
On May 8, 2022, Capstone Infrastructure Corporation ("Capstone") announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Wild Rose 2 Wind LP, entered into a power purchase agreement (“PPA”) with Pembina Pipeline Corporation (“Pembina”) for the offtake of 105 MW of renewable energy from its proposed 192 MW Wild Rose 2 Wind Farm, approximately 35 km southeast of Medicine Hat, Alberta.
Under the 15-year term of the agreement, which commences on the commercial operation date of the project, Pembina will receive both renewable electricity and environmental attributes.
