Brooks Solar II Facility
Located adjacent to the 15 MW Brooks I facility, on approximately 200 acres of privately owned land in Newell County, outside the city of Brooks, 186 km southeast of Calgary, the project consists of approximately 90,000 solar modules mounted on a fixed-tilt racking system.
The project achieved commercial operation December 2021 and is supported by a long-term corporate purchase power agreement with TELUS, building on the existing relationship between Elemental and TELUS that started with the first Brooks Solar project.
On December 15, 2021, Elemental Energy Inc. (“Elemental”) closed its construction and term debt financing for project, with National Bank of Canada as the sole lender on the transaction.
Further information on the financing can be found on EIN Newswire’s website.
