Trillium Line South Extension
Torys acted as counsel to TransitNEXT (SNC-Lavalin Capital) as the successful proponent for the C$1.6 billion Trillium Line South Extension PPP project to design, build, finance and maintain a 16 km southward extension to the existing Ottawa light rail transit system in Ottawa, Ontario.
The south extension will add 16 km of new rail and eight new stations, extending the O-Train network farther south from Greenboro Station to Limebank Station, with a link to the Ottawa Macdonald-Cartier International Airport.
The City of Ottawa and TransitNEXT reached financial close on the project on March 29, 2019.
