Pointe-Aux-Roches Wind Farm
Torys acted as counsel to ENGIE Canada (previously International Power Canada, then GDF SUEZ Canada Inc.) in the development, C$117 million financing and construction of its 48.6 MW Pointe-Aux-Roches Wind Farm in east of Windsor, Ontario.
The facility, which became operational in December 2011, consists of 27 interconnected Vestas V90 1.8 MW – IEC Class II turbines.

Torys acted as counsel with a team led by Valerie Helbronner and that included Jonathan Weisz, Tom Zverina and Milosz Zemanek (financing), Dennis Mahony, Michael Fortier and Tyson Dyck (environmental), Don Roger (real estate), Charles Keizer and Jonathan Myers (energy regulatory).
