Lauren’s practice focuses on advising alternative asset managers on the formation, fundraising and ongoing management of private funds, including fund restructurings.
She also advises pension plans, financial institutions and funds-of-funds on private market investments in pooled funds and separately managed accounts.
Across her practice, Lauren acts for both fund sponsors and institutional investors on co-investment mandates. She also advises sponsors and investors on liquidity transactions in the secondaries market, including LP-led and GP-led secondary transactions.
Her experience spans a broad range of investment strategies, including buyout, venture capital, infrastructure, real estate, credit, secondaries and hedge funds.

At Torys, Lauren is actively involved in the firm’s student and associate mentorship, training and recruitment programs.
In the community, Lauren has been heavily involved and has held several leadership roles with YWCA Toronto. She has served as a member and secretary of the Board of Directors, as well as a member of numerous committees including the Executive Committee, the Finance Committee, the Asset Management Committee and most recently, the Nominating Committee. Lauren has also served as a member of the Governance Committee of Western Mustangs Athletic Alumni Board of Directors at Western University and as a member of the Finance Committee of YWCA Canada.
