Fundamentals of Class Actions Law

Partner and Torys’ litigation practice group leader Sarah Whitmore will speak at the Ontario Bar Association’s Fundamentals of Class Actions Law program taking place on August 26 in Toronto. The program will provide an overview of the class action process, including procedural, strategic and ethical issues that arise from both plaintiff and defence perspectives.

Sarah will speak on the panel “Common and Individual issues adjudication” at 11:45 a.m. The panel will examine the adjudication of common and individual issues in class proceedings, including damages, evidentiary and discovery issues, and the procedural and ethical considerations that arise throughout the process.
