Later this week, partner Bill Estey returns to Liberia to again work for the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. The Ministry is responsible for the Liberian government’s initiative to join the World Trade Organization. To that end, Bill is assisting with the drafting and revising of Liberian laws in order that they be compliant with WTO standards and principles. On this trip, Bill will, among other things, conduct workshops for interested stakeholders on two laws that he drafted last fall: a Competition Law (with the assistance of Omar Wakil); and a Foreign Trade Law (with the assistance of John Terry).
Bill continues to share his experiences in Liberia in his blog, Letters from Liberia.
