Thomson Reuters’, Bloomberg's and Financial Post Dealmakers’ 2011 year-end corporate finance league tables rank Torys as among the top law firms in the world to advise on corporate finance transactions.

  • In the category of advising issuers of Canadian debt offerings, Torys ranked 2nd, with 18 transactions valued at C$5.06 billion.
  • In the category of advising managers of Canadian debt offerings, Torys ranked 1st, with 11 transactions valued at C$4.17 billion.
  • In the category of advising managers of Canadian equity and equity-related offerings, Torys ranked 2nd, with 40 transactions valued at C$3.37 billion.

  • In the category of advising managers of Canadian equity and equity-linked offerings, Torys ranked 1st, with 41 transactions valued at US$3.311 billion.
  • In the category of advising managers of Canadian equity offerings, Torys ranked 1st, with 34 transactions valued at US$2.851 billion.
  • In the category of advising issuers of Canadian common equity, income trust, convertible and preferred offerings, Torys ranked 2nd, with 12 transactions valued at US$2.400 billion.
