Torys has relocated its New York office to the W.R. Grace Building, at 1114 Avenue of the Americas. Torys moved from 237 Park Ave., located about five blocks away, where the firm first opened its Manhattan office in 1999. Torys occupies more than 34,200 square feet, the entire 23rd floor, including some 4,100 square feet on the concourse level of the 50-story iconic slopping-façade tower.

"We are not really expanding or contracting – we have the same number of lawyers in the new space," said Philip J. Brown, co-head of the firm's mergers and acquisitions group. "The layout of the new space is much better for our purposes."

Philip said that "the location was the key consideration in the selection of the Grace Building. It's ideally situated for us and most importantly, easy for our clients to visit…and it's a landmark building. The space at the Grace Building has a lot of natural light and extraordinary views." He said that Torys wanted to create an environment that would benefit its attorneys, staff, and clients, and that "the firm is delighted with the outcome."
