Chambers Global 2011 lists three of Torys' lawyers as exceptional real estate practitioners

Torys' real estate group has seen a rise in activity related to residential financings insured by Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) and represented First National Finance in a loan to Revera that was CMHC-insured. Other significant clients include 407 ETC Concession Company and TD Bank.

  • David Dell is "involved in a number of versatile real estate and infrastructure enterprises throughout North America." Among his clients are First National Financial, Cadillac Fairview and Ontrea.
  • Sabrina Gherbaz has a "prominent Canadian practice focused on real estate and projects," with extensive expertise advising on large commercial development projects in Canada and overseas. "She provides thoughtful advice, writes and drafts well, and her analytical ability is very strong."
  • Rose Bailey is commended for her strength in CMBS. "She gives practical advice and is always accessible." Rose represents Torys in its activity with Brookfield Properties.
