LSEG ranks Torys #1 in issuer debt for the first nine months of 2026

Torys has again been ranked number 1 in Canada All Debt by deal count in LSEG’s Issuer Legal Advisor table. The firm was ranked in the top spot after advising on 22 deals in the first nine months of 2026.

Notable deals from that time period include:

• British Columbia Investment Management Corporation, in respect of the assets of the Combined Funds which it holds in trust, in a C$2 billion private placement of 4.15% senior unsecured notes, Series 5, due 2036
• Thomson Reuters in its US$1.3 billion public offering of notes and C$1 billion private placement of notes
• Public Storage in its C$400 million maple bond offering of 4.540% fixed-rate senior notes, due 2033
