Deborah clerked on the Commission of Inquiry concerning the Kingston Prison for Women assisting Commission Counsel, Trisha Jackson, throughout the inquiry.

Deborah has clerked on numerous trials in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice including the Casey Hill vs. The Church of Scientology libel action and has assisted counsel in numerous appeal proceedings before the Court of Appeal for Ontario.

Before joining Torys, Deborah worked at the Law Society of Upper Canada as a law clerk to the Senior Counsel of the Discipline Department.

Deborah is a Fellow of The Institute of Law Clerks of Ontario, and has completed fellowship courses in family law, contracts, and the law of evidence. Most recently, Deborah was a facilitator in the Law Society of Upper Canada’s Roundtable on Privilege and E-Discovery for Litigation Law Clerks.
