Scott has represented

• United Air Lines in its Canadian restructuring proceedings under the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act
• the insolvency of Canada 3000 Airlines, advising key aircraft lessors on matters that were argued before the Ontario Superior Court, the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada 
• International Lease Finance Corporation in the insolvency proceedings of Zoom Airlines
• Ares Management LLC and the Teachers' Private Capital unit of the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan is their US$760 million acquisition of Simmons
• Nokia Siemens Network B.V. in its proposed US$650 million purchase of the advanced wireless technology business of Nortel Networks, Canada's largest telecommunications company, which is in Canadian CCAA and U.S. Chapter 11 proceedings
• Berkshire in the Portus receivership and bankruptcy proceedings
• Heating Oil Partners Income Fund in its operating company’s Chapter 11 and CCAA restructuring proceedings
• Huffy Corporation in its successful restructuring under Chapter 11 and the CCAA
• the successful restructuring of GT Group Telecom and the acquisition of the operating subsidiaries of GT by 360networks
• the Canadian Football League in the court-appointed receiverships of the Toronto Argonauts Football Club and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats Football Club

• a number of restructurings in the retail industry, including those of Dylex (first restructuring) and Lewiscraft

Scott has published articles on restructuring and insolvency issues in Canadian Bankruptcy Reports, Credit and Banking Litigation Quarterly and Commercial Insolvency Reporter. He has been the author of papers presented to INSOL International, the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Ontario Bar Association and Infonex. He is currently the national editor of Commercial Insolvency Reporter.
