Professional Involvement
Les practised accountancy with KPMG Peat Marwick Thorne in Calgary, Alberta, obtaining his Chartered Accountant professional designation in 1979. He practised corporate, securities and natural resources law with Macleod Dixon in Calgary from 1982 to 1986, and international corporate and finance law with Allen & Overy in London, England, from 1986 to 1987. He joined Torys in June 1987.
