  • defending against the hostile takeover bid made by Agrium
• Torex Retail, listed on the Alternative Investment Market of the London Stock Exchange, in its acquisition of Systech Retail Systems
• the underwriting syndicate in Cargojet Income Fund’s $62.5 million initial public offering
• the underwriting syndicate in Student Transportation of America’s $127 million initial public offering of income participating securities
• NBS Technologies in its acquisition of UbiQ
• PBB Global Logistics Income Fund in its cross-border acquisition of Clark Logistics and related $40 million offering of subscription receipts
• Algoma Steel in its $85 million offering of common shares
• several of Fairfax Financial Holdings' public and private securities offerings, including its 2005 universal shelf prospectus in Canada and the United States for the offering of up to US$750 million of securities, and both its 2004 and 2005 US$300 million offerings of subordinate voting shares

Before joining Torys, Andrea participated in the Innocence Project, an Osgoode Hall programme that works to release the wrongfully convicted. For the Project, Andrea worked on Romeo Phillion’s application to the Minister of Justice to have his conviction overturned. She was also senior editor of the Osgoode Hall Law Journal and editor of the Obiter Dicta, Osgoode Hall’s weekly newspaper.
