Before joining Torys, Sophia Tolias was Counsel in the London office of Allen & Overy LLP where she provided legal advice to the firm's lawyers and clients on a wide range of company and corporate finance issues, with expertise in areas such as market abuse and insider dealing, and the Financial Services Authority’s Disclosure and Transparency Rules. She also delivered training to the firm’s lawyers and clients and was responsible for the firm's corporate precedents.
Sophia has extensive experience as a transactional lawyer in the United Kingdom and in Canada in a broad range of corporate transactions, particularly mergers and acquisitions, capital raisings and restructurings.
