Laila has recently been involved in representing

• International Petroleum Investment Company in its C$2.8 billion acquisition of Nova Chemicals

Before attending law school, Laila worked as an engineering consultant for five years and has expertise in the development and operation of mining and oil and gas projects. Laila is familiar with federal and provincial law and policy related to the development and operation of energy projects, including renewable energy projects. Laila has significant experience with various federal and provincial energy programs and initiatives e.g. ecoEnergy for Biofuels.
