Raegan has recently been involved in representing

• Thomson Reuters (formerly The Thomson Corporation)
• in its US$18 billion acquisition of Reuters Group to form Thomson Reuters under Canada's first dual listed company structure, and the subsequent unification under that structure
• in its acquisition of Sreamlogics
• in its 2009 C$750 million debt offering of notes in Canada
• Companies in the Brookfield group of companies in various financings and acquisitions including
• Brookfield Properties Corporation in its US$1.04 billion cross-border offering of common shares
• Brookfield Asset Management Inc. in the privatization of MediSolution
• Brookfield Asset Management Inc. in its 2009 C$300 million issue of rate-reset preferred shares and its 2009 C$500 million offering of notes
• Canadian Real Estate Investment Trust in its C$100 million offering of units
• RBC Dominion Securities and other underwriters in a number of debt and equity offerings of RioCan
• Connors Bros. Income Fund in the US$600 million sale of its business to an affiliate of Centre Partners
• Viterra (formerly Saskatchewan Wheat Pool) in financings in connection with its $1.8 billion acquisition of Agricore United

Before joining Torys, Raegan was a senior research assistant at the University of Western Ontario, Faculty of Law, where she assisted with the publications Secured Transactions in Personal Property in Canada, Annotated Ontario Personal Property Security Act and Canadian Commercial Reorganization: Preventing Bankruptcy.
