Jason Gilman is an associate in the firm's Intellectual Property Practice. Jason’s practice focuses on the acquisition, enforcement and exploitation of patents, trademarks, copyrights and industrial designs. Jason is also involved in negotiating and drafting intellectual property and other technology related agreements. His work includes evaluating, procuring and protecting rights in the software, medical device, medical imaging, electronics, computer technology and manufacturing industries, with an additional focus on advising clients on regulatory issues associated with such products.
Jason handles all aspects of Canadian trademark practice, including clearance searches, filing and prosecuting applications, opposition proceedings and trademark licensing.
Jason's work has included short-term secondments for leading medical device companies, to advise them on daily issues, including intellectual property, licensing and procurement of intellectual property and technology and regulatory and pricing issues.
Jason is a registered patent agent and trademark agent in Canada.
