Aileen has been involved in representing

• RBC Dominion Securities and a syndicate of lenders in a consortium led by Plenary Group (Canada), the preferred proponent in a C$1 billion transaction to design, build, finance and maintain a federal facility in Ottawa, Ontario, for Communications Security Establishment Canada
• Recurrent Energy in its development and financing of 19 solar power plants in Ontario, representing approximately 180MW of energy capacity under the Ontario Power Authority’s feed-in-tariff progam for renewable energy projects
• International Power Canada in its development and financing of the 48.6 MW Pointe-Aux-Roches Wind Power Project, the 30 MW Plateau Wind Project, the 10 MW Brockville Solar Project and the 99MW Cape Scott Wind Project
• Bilfinger Berger Project Investments as the preferred proponent in the C$460 million AFP transaction to design, build, finance and maintain the redevelopment of the Women’s College Hospital in Toronto, Ontario
• Evergreen on a pro bono basis in the financing transaction for the redevelopment of the former Don Valley Brick Works building and industrial pad in Toronto, Ontario
• a Brazilian electrical transmission company in a US$554 million bond offering in connection with its acquisition of Compahnia de Transmissao de Energia Eletrica Paulista (CTEEP)
• a Canadian power generation company in its renegotiation of its long-term clean energy supply contract with the Ontario Power Authority in connection with its cogeneration plant in Sarnia, Ontario
• the administrative agent and collateral agent in the US$98.8 million financing of a 69.8 MW wind-powered electric generation facility in Floyd County, Texas
• the developer on a participation agreement and facility lease for the construction of an 8.2 MW solar energy project in Alamosa County, Colorado

Before joining Torys, Aileen practiced project finance law in New York and banking law in Toronto.

During law school, Aileen was an editor of The Columbia Journal of Law and the Arts and was awarded a Parker School Certificate of Achievement in International and Comparative Law.
