Practice

Marlene Davidge’s transaction-oriented practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, business partnering, public offerings, financings, advice to boards and their committees, and all other aspects of securities law. She is well known both domestically and internationally for her work dealing with public and private managed products, including creative product design for mutual, pooled, hedge and segregated funds; wrap accounts and pension vehicles; and the myriad of issues surrounding portfolio management.

Professional Involvement

A member of the Securities Advisory Committee of the Ontario Securities Commission from 1984 to 1989, Marlene has more recently been a member of one of the working committees established by the Canadian Securities Administrators to comment on the future regulatory structure for managed products, an area about which she has written and spoken extensively both in Canada and abroad.
