Practice

Matthew Cockburn, a member of the firm's Executive Committee, practises corporate and securities law, with an emphasis on private equity, corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions. Matt acts for a wide variety of private equity firms, advising on both majority and minority investments. Matt’s extensive experience in the corporate finance area includes advising issuers and underwriters on public and private offerings of debt and equity securities. In the mergers and acquisitions area, Matt has advised on public takeover bids, plans of arrangement, and private acquisitions and divestitures.
